Aberdeen City Kendo Club has training twice a week at Ruthrieston West Church.
Tuesdays from 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm
Fridays from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm (new beginners welcome)
Aberdeen University Kendo Club has training once a week at King’s Pavilion.
Wednesday from 5:00 pm to 6:30pm
Saturday from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm
Sunday from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm
City club membership
- Single session: £5 per session
- Adult membership: £35 per month
- Under 18 / student membership: £17.5 per month
You are welcome to come to any Friday session to watch, and when you start training, the first four weeks are free! After that you can pay per session, or get a monthly membership.
University club membership for students
- £40 for the academic year
Note that AUSA membership is required when training in any sports club in Aberdeen University. The membership fee is £15 per academic year.
Beginner course for the university club starts at the beginning of the fall semester.
You are recommended to get British Kendo Association (BKA) insurance as soon as you start training. As well as a cheap insurance for training, seminars and competitions, the insurance will give you eligibility for gradings.
